Coldplay is a british rock band that formed in 1996. In the early years, the band changed their name several times, first they were the ‘Pectoralz’ ( someone had a sense of humor 😉 ) and then shortly after Guy Barryman joined the band, they changed their name to ‘Starfish’. Before recording three EPs in 1998 they changed their name again, to Coldplay. But the bands popularity didn’t skyrocket until they released song ‘Yellow’ in 2000. Over the years Coldplay has become more and more popular, and has also won several music awards;  six Brit Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, and seven Grammy Awards from twenty nominations. Coldplay has just released their newest album Mylo Xyloto a couple months back anc are now touring. Be sure to catch one of their shows they’re going to be awesome. Five Studio Albums later, Coldplay has sold over 50 million records world wide! Check out these songs, two are old and Paradise is from their new album.

Brett Dennen is a singer song writer from Oakdale California. He released his first self titled a

lbum in 2004. I came across his music a couple years ago while I was watching Greys Anatomy with my dad. I forget what song I herd in the episode but I know since then I have been loading his music into a lot of my playlists. At first I didn’t like the music to be honest. But in time my taste in music changed and i started absolutely loving him. So here are two of my favorite songs by him. The first one is ‘ Aint No Reason ‘ and it was released on his second album ‘ So much More’ in 2006. The second one is ‘ Shes Mine’ and it was also released on the album ‘ So much More’. I would suggest that  you also check out Bretts new album ‘ Loverboy’. It was released on April 12th of this year.

Grunge rock. I know that the name, for some people, has a negative connotation. But a couple of my fav bands are grunge rock, and they are absolutely amazing. The genre is now so rare that there are hardly any grunge bands anymore, and the ones that are out there are hard to come by. So for today, the band i am going to show you is Seven Mary Three. This band is not exactly old, but it never really took off. 7M3 formed in 1992, and they are still making music. There latest album was released in Febuary of last year, the title is black booth. But the songs i have showed below are not from this album, they are from ‘American Standard ‘. The bands second album to be released in 1995. ( youtube videos attached for audio )

Cumbersom – Seven Mary Three

Water’s Edge – Seven Mary Three

Anything – Seven Mary Three

(bad quality but i couldnt find another)
